The arc from Arena -> Daggerfall -> Morrowind really made it feel like they were mastering the recipe. Daggerfall is great for weird and ambitious too but not as approachable as Morrowind, and more or less kicking off modern modding is a big deal for Morrowind. Oblivion was a bit of a slump but felt like they could recover. Then Skyrim 😞 it’s embarrassing

Yeah my ex spouse would rather drive 5min then spend 15min finding parking every day for work than do the 15 minute walk. Then every day complain about parking and get instantly defensive if I brought up walking instead. This was a thing with going out too I’d want to walk and they’d want to drive. I’d get there first because of time spent finding parking. Half the time they’d walk just as far as I did anyway because parking in the area completely sucked

Ah I think my comment made in haste was ambiguous. Fortunately I was not cut this time around, I’ve somehow skated by all the firings. I’m actually just clinging on for a few more months then I’m off to Sweden to go back to school. Hoping to actually finish my game dev degree this time around! I do have some school application stuff I would love to have people see though I’ll keep you in mind for that if you are up for it (for a work sample primarily, to get into higher rates schools)

Nicotine is water soluble. You can take a wet tobacco leaf off the plant and it’ll soak into your skin and get you a bit buzzed (or in my case when I discovered this mid harvest if you touch enough it’ll get you massively high and nauseous). Imo one of the best ways to get some in relative safety is grow your own, they’re really easy, and just put a leaf under your tongue for a bit then spit it out

What era or genre are you getting the pop culture from? Twinkies at least have only been a joke in media for at least 15 years because of zombie survival stuff, and longer as a ‘haha look at the fat kid’ before that. Die Hard uses them as a comedic element to break up parts of the film but in less of a joking about Twinkies directly way, though it is part of the overweight cop’s character. That movie is nearly 40 years old though and probably marks around the time Twinkies started shifting from a snack to a meme

Edit to add: They also originally had banana flavored filling. You can still find these sometimes and while not good they’re better than the plain ones imo
