That’s what the hardware requirement bypass and a techie friend are for.
I manage a whole computer lab full of 3rd to 5th gen Intels with 8GB of RAM that run Windows 11 just fine.

I can see that eating into some PC use, but plenty of Millennials I know still prefer laptops or even desktops for casual use.

I think this is actually most people. Power users and hardcore gamers are a relatively small portion of the PC market.

Debian or Flatpak, so basically all distros.

Oh yeah, I temporarily forgot the priority for laws in The US (from least to greatest):

Ohhh, yeah that makes sense.

I know. What’s wrong with that?

“Non-standard equipment” for Windows 11 includes PCs with Intel 7th gen or older processors, many of which are still perfectly good and powerful enough to run Windows 11. So, it’s pretty sad that these videos are being taken down.

What’s wrong with Rufus?

I’ll check that out too

Thanks for helping me discover Kobo! Looks like a good Kindle alternative.

Have you considered using a mesh VPN instead of opening a port to the public? Nebula and TailScale are both great options that have a free tier which is more than enough for most home use cases. With Nebula you can even selfhost your discovery node so nothing is cloud-based, but then you’re back to opening firewall ports again.
Anyway, its going to be more secure than even a properly configured reverse proxy setup and way less hassle.

Don’t use Windows either.
For personal use maybe. Not for a public organization that can get sued into oblivion if caught pirating.
