The long-rumored remake of Persona 4 is looking very real, as a voice actor from the original Persona 4 cast says they weren't brought back for the unannounced game.
There’ll almost certainly be new/expanded and altered dialogue.
I’m intrigued to see whether they’ll try to rework any of the more ‘problematic’ stuff, now that Katsura Hashino (P3–P5 director) has left. Or go for a truer-to-the-Japanese-version Teddy this time.
Huh, that makes me wonder if p5 has any actual translation errors. Most of the stuff i saw when it released was bitter localizer complaining about good choices, so i just assumed there was nothing real to complain about.
do you really need all new voice recordings for a remake? unless they were horrible quality i don’t see the point.

That’s interesting insight with the translation. It reminds me of the translation for ff8 not capturing the spirit of the original writing.

Are you saying that Hashino himself was responsible for the problematic content, or that he would have stood in the way of revising it?
I mean, that helps justify buying the game again. Fresh performances, possibly with tweaks or new content.
I’ll spin it around: why would you buy the game a second time if it just used all the same files?
