Well, that is a fact: there are too many children.

But I think sterilization is more ethical than killing them.

      there are too many children

Not really, no. It’s not so much overpopulation straining resources as it’s a hundred billionaires already owning almost everything and expecting to further profit in order to hoard even more life-sustaining resources already fenced in by artificial scarcity.

But I think sterilization is more ethical

Don’t give them any ideas. Doing it voluntarily is usually a good choice, but fascists are famously not averse to forced sterilization of anyone they deem in any way “abnormal”…

Yep, we throw away, as USAsians… what, 40% of our food, with our insane JIT logistics/business model?

Uh yeah turns out globalized JIT is a highly efficient paradigm, in the sense of maximizing profits…

… But it is also extremely wasteful, fragile and shatters easily… the Trump tariffs and surrounding uncertainty, and mass destruction of the hierarchically lowest, but also most essential, foundational rung of the food production system, migrant labor…

That’s basically just swinging at the knees of this paradigm with sledge hammers.

No, there are not enough children

The rate of population growth has fallen considerably and in developed countries the population would be shrinking if it wasn’t for immigration.

Immigration is only a short term solution as developing countries will eventually have low birth rates as well.

It very bad when the population drops in a short timeframe. (such as a century)

Public infrastructure works better with lots of people.
