Perfectly safe and what wasn’t safe was a learning experience. 12 year old me with matches? Literal dumpster fire because I have pyromaniac tendencies.
People were a lot less weird about stuff like this in the past, even in the 90s and early 00s. My dad gave me a pocket knife when I was like 8.
