Its called Aiko.
It’s still in beta.
Although I did suggest that they potentially consider federation
Have you got a non-reddit link?
Not for the conversation, but I do have one for website:
Here is an image of the Subreddit post, as well:

Thank you for that. I tried registering but got a “not_in_beta” error response so I’ll keep an eye on when they open it up to the unwashed masses. Thanks for sharing it!
Did you try to sign up for beta, or sign up for Aiko?
Because when you click on the link, it should look like this:

You then add your email address, and then, later on, you’ll get an email, allowing you to beta test
On the desktop web interface, this is what I’m shown. Attempting to follow the sign up flow results in the error I mentioned.

what’s wrong with pintrest? (i barely use it, so i am unaware)
Ai content took over
that seems to xefeat the purpose. i used pintrest once for office ideas. so if i found bookshelves i like i got many bookshelves that were similar and linked to places to buy. i would think thats how they get money.
maybe i am odd in how i used it
to me Pinterest is simply an Instagram where you can create board of pictures of yours or other people

No offence, but I don’t think that I would want Pixelfed to add Pinterest style features.
It just feels like, at least IMO, trying to be too many things at once.
Pixelfed should remain separate from any Pinterest alternative that the Fediverse decides upon.
Now if Pixelfed wants to add features that are inspired by Pinterest, then that’s a different thing.
To me, pinterest is simply instagram/pixelfed with collections that include both other people images and yours and are displayed in masonry layout. I don’t like masonry so if we can switch between layout everybody should be satisfied
