I’m not sure what their current stance on S&box is since I don’t see any posts confirming anything, but I’d presume at best their support of proton or native support will be indifference, and at worst blocking us out.
EAC comes in a few different flavours. While it does support Linux, I believe it’s only supported in user mode, rather than kernel. I don’t agree with kernel level anti-cheat, but I believe that’s the flavour Rust is relying on.
That said, that game is weird, and people take it incredibly seriously. I’m not sure what’s envisioned for S&Box in this regard, since it aims to compete with Roblox as a game design tool

Weird. They say support of EAC on linux wouldn’t be viable. I play multiple EAC protected games on linux.
I guess they have decided Linux is only for cheating…
