It was one of my childhood dreams to get on ocremix. I made one a long time ago and submitted it, but they rejected it dismissively and said it sounded too close to the original. It was just amped up chiptune basically with fx. I was heartbroken and never did that again. I still have the file and still think it sounds awesome. It was the Duke Nukem theme song, and I wanted it to just sound huge and hit hard, but still have that gamey hypey badass feel.
I still regularly listen to those .mids. Rest easy.
There’s so many good remixes too. There was that whole ocremix album.
