I agree, I’m quite happy with Bazzite so far!

For now, I’m going to stick to Steam games on Linux since I still have a 2TB Windows drive for my main games. My plan is to use Bazzite to get a feel for Linux and eventually move completely over from Windows once I’m more comfortable with the OS and know how to get everything I want up and running. I’m honestly having fun with being new to an OS with more options, I haven’t had to google such seemingly basic tasks for a computer since I was a kid.

I’m using the KDE version of Bazzite and I’m really liking it. It reminds me of being a kid and exploring Windows 98 for the first time, everything is new and interesting, and searching through the menus to see all the different options brings back a certain nostalgia.

I’d like to ask a few questions if anyone is willing to help me out :)

My mouse is a Logitech G502 X+ and I don’t know what software to use to configure my mouse in Bazzite, what’s the Linux replacement for Logitech GHub? My mouse works perfectly but I don’t know what to use to customize the DPI for example.

What’s the best practice for installing apps or programs outside of the built in “app store”? For example, I downloaded the Plex media server app as a .RPM file but I’m not quite sure how to install it. I already installed the Plex app through Bazzite OS’ default app store, but in Windows I needed the Plex media server app to be able to serve up videos to other people as far as I know. Makes me feel dumb, but I’m used to .EXE’s where it just installs itself. What do I do with a .RPM file? Or any other Linux programs downloaded from a website, like (I think?) tar.bz etc? I know how to access the files and extract them, but I’m not sure where to put the programs in general.

You no longer take in enough oxygen to sustain consciousness. 60,000 feet. CNN is reporting on all the world records you’ve broken. 200,000 feet. You are no longer alive. The poop accelerates. Your body disintegrates but your poop contrail remains. NASA can no longer track you. You break the light-speed barrier and we can no longer bear witness.

Ten forward is a good example, the big posters in c/risa got fed up with the mods and made ten forward on Lemmy.world. Now I almost never see risa anymore but ten forward is always on the front page.

I watched all of clone wars shortly after season 7 came out and loved it. Quite a few boring episodes (if you see jar jar just skip the episode) but the good ones are amazing and outnumber the bad. I was in my mid 20s at the time.

Because there are people like me that can’t stand tank controls. Scream at me till you’re blue in the face about how I’ll “get used to it” or I just need to “git gud” etc and nothing will change my mind. Fuck tank controls.

I’d kill to play this game in the same style as the modern RE remakes, the OG will always be there for you to play if you don’t like the remake.

I have a steam library of over 100 games and I’ve been exclusively gaming on PC since 2014. I can count the amount of times I’ve had trouble playing a game on one hand since then. If you’re refunding half the games you get then your PC is fucked and you’re doing something wrong.

I’ve also never had to troubleshoot anything but modded games which is to be expected. PC gaming is easier than ever these days.

That said I fully get why so many people prefer consoles but don’t spread bullshit cause you suck at using a PC buddy.

Intel’s been pretty good about VRAM tbh, having a 16GB A770 for a decent price is hopefully a good sign. It’s one of the few ways both Intel and AMD can compete with Nvidia since they’re infamously stingy with VRAM to encourage buying higher tier cards.
