    Me neither. I think they have sex Kirsten Dunst jumps up and down in her underwear on his bed because the mind-wipers have to break into his home to perform the spotless nind procedure. Possibly he is also lying there, hooked up to the helmet.

    No on screen sex happens, but it’s implied that the more chauvinistic mind wiper is going to have sex wirh Dunst’s character

    It’s simply that she, like every other israeli, did national service (with the IDF). Presumably at some point a good deal of years before she was in WW. Because it’s typically for 18 year olds.

    Now, absolutely nobody was mad about this at the time she appeared in wonder woman, but they are now that the war has flared up.

    This is why there’s been a little campaign of vitriol about her acting abilities, too.

    I just think that if people actualy cared about (either of) these things they would’ve complained about them some time before Palestine entered wider public conscience. It’s common knowledge that israelis have to dk military service with the IDF, after all.

    RIP to Miss Snyder, I had no idea that happened.

    Wonder Woman Vol. 1

    I’ve seen just less than half of these, Wonder Woman being one of the first I watched. PAINFULLY BLAND. I don’t understand this movie at all. It seemed like the characters were blank stones and not very much happened except “we need to go to x location and fight some people.”

    Please correct me if I’m wrong because i was a teenager and texting on my phone for the whole thing, but that is how I remember it.

    Never heard of this in my life. And i was spending 24h a day online during covid, lol. I’m guessing anon just didn’t want to break the post’s pattern. I know the feeling.

    Personally I heard that Birds of Prey and THE Suicide Squad were amazing.

    Jason Momoa’s Aquaman isn’t really Aquaman. The film was very generic.

    I actually can’t get into what a disaster this actor and the film itself have been for the DCU. It makes the whole series of films seem like the work of a shadowy organisation of supervillains.

    Fairly good film, my boomer parents loved it, looking back i have some misgivings on the villain charscter but i can’t remember why.

    It had bad villains apparently, i didn’t actually watch it myself.

    I know it’s just a dumb greentext but crediting the fikm with Zachary Levi going schizo seems disingenuous… that’s probably because he is actually the closest thing to an “evil zionist” among these stars. Not everything needs an origin story!

    I highly recommend anyone interested in DC movies to watch “who killed the DCU?” On youtube instead of this movie.

    Tbh right, in the last year or two I’ve come to accept that there is an absolute religious continuity from ancient paganism to the newest mainstream ones (e.gChristianity and islam). It might be a vague connection at times but you can see pretty clearly how one story or one ritual became different as a culture moved into a new age or a new area.

    • The words “Zeus,” and Deus and Jupiter all come from the same root word.

    • Every religion has a flood story

    • Religious texts reflect on the old faiths that their founders were raised in, or those worshipped by them around them

    Anyway why am I saying all this? Well, I don’t know if God would actually go "You need to make a new religion. It tends to be "you need to fix the current religion, take control of it.

    EDIT: I should have read ahead to see just how silly this greentext actually is before I engaged with it as a serious idea, lol.

    You’re kind of right - I think society gets worked up about it in the wrong way, relying on shame to prevent incest, rather than logic.

    The One reason it’s not that common is that siblings smell gross and feel gross to have sex with. Most siblings, if they actually tried to initiate sex, would back down very quickly because of those biological inhibitors.

    One reason that incest is wrong is because it usually manifests as abuse. One participant will be older or stronger than the other. As another commenter said, you can never rule that out, and anyone who finds out bout an incestuous relationship will assume it’s abusive

    Then the big no-no is inbreeding. You might not produce a child from one instance of intercourse, but it’s unethical because you’d be inflicting a fucked set of genetics onto that hypothetical child.

    But as weird as it is to say, nowadays you could theoretically practice safe incestuous sexual activity. But then there’s the remaining problem that “you’ll get attached,” and I do think the threat of permanently changing your relationship with one another, making things awkward, is very real.

    Another remaining problem is that I still see it as A) a response to loneliness, where two relatives who haven’t managed to encounter many mates will resort to each other, and B) a sort of sex addiction, arising if two similar aged relatives used it as a form of sexual experimentation.
