Based on the vibes of every internet comment field, literally everyone and their mother wants to stream lossless.
You’re right about the audible benefits however

I have no idea what they think this will accomplish, to be honest. It has the legal value of posting on Facebook that you don’t allow them to use your photos.
I can recommend switching to reading books. An e-reader with mild backlight is ideal for this use-case as you can keep the room pitch black and still be able to read. My time to fall asleep and rate of early wakeups has plummeted since I made the switch
On top of this, the AI jobs are paying some flat-out ridiculous rates.
Like, millions of dollars up-front in signing bonuses kind of ridiculous
Ngl got some goosebumps, and I was only ever mildly into the show. That opening theme is strong
Skill issue. Cope and seethe
To clarify - Sweden has a lesser variant of the U.S credit score system, but it differs in some important ways. For example, you don’t have to get a credit card to ‘build credit’ - you are assumed to be in good standing unless you have unusual ratios of debt and so on.
Sweden does not have a social credit score system.
I don’t know the subject well enough to tell, unfortunately.
Yep, that’s leptin resistance for you. Obesity is really a hormonal condition, and this is why GLP-1 inhibitors are so effective - they actually treat the hormonal condition and allow the recipient to manage their food intake without having their body hormonally work against them.
A layman’s explanation (to be clear, I am the layman) of my best understanding of the subject:
Hunger is controlled by 2 hormones:
As fat cells accumulate, leptin levels also increase, but a person that has developed leptin resistance will not feel the appropriate amount of hunger suppression from the leptin, leading to chronic hunger unless large energy intake is sustained.
I got a GMKtec G3.
I suppose I never actually had a good experience with Amazon to be able to compare against.
You’d be surprised, actually. You have to be careful, yes - the default option is that you get crap - but all of the high-quality cycling gear/running gear/variety consumer electronics I’ve scored is a testament to the possibility of getting great stuff.
Honestly, it’s baffling how good some of the stuff you can get off of AliExpress is, especially when taking the low price into account.
My ~$100 N100 server is a testament to that. Just need to score some additional storage for it
I have zero desire to live like that to be completely honest with you
As I understand it, Google mostly ships new stuff that they let die because it’s one of the only ways to get a promotion at Google - to ship a product.
Once shipped, the newly promoted staff moves on to something else, and the business people take a look and see if the product actually makes any sense from a financial perspective, which is rarely the case.
SSL is not the tool you need in this case, although you should obviously already be running exclusively on encrypted traffic.
The problem here is one of access rights - you should not make files default-available for anyone that can figure out the file name to the particular file in the bucket. At the very least, you need to be using signed URLs with a reasonably short expiration, and default all other access to be blocked.
Hey, I’m not saying I don’t stand with the gooners, take that back
Union of concerned gooners rising up
Language models are unsuitable for math problems broadly speaking. We already have good technology solutions for that category of problems. Luckily, you can combine the two - prompt the model to write a program that solves your math problem, then execute it. You’re likely to see a lot more success using this approach.
So quite literally worse than a coin flip, then.
Streaming lossless audio will use up three to six times as much data, along with the higher processing demands to play them back, so there’s always a penalty involved. We didn’t invent codecs for no reason.
