Medior employees.
Wish they had a readable functional changelog here. The user doesn’t need to know they use TryAdd instead of Add.

As a senior dev, I say it’s not worth it. Our junior devs rely on it too much and I spent most of yesterday trying to figure out for my junior dev why their code didn’t work. Eventually came to the conclusion that they just have to redo most of it because it’s utter garbage and invents new code to do what the architecture already has.

Those are search engines though, not web browsers.

Gift? You mean bribe.

I can only imagine someone came up with AI vegan after they decided to eat steak that evening while thinking they’re the ones who are pressed by vegans…
Seconding Pocket ID. Very lightweight and fast while also doing everything I need.

I didn’t mind having a couple of static ads on a page. But now it’s so much. So many dynamic ads, autoplaying videos, popups asking you to sign up to a newsletter, etc. No thanks.
I’ve used Authelia and Authentic. I personally switched to pocket I’d recently. You can integrate lap and groups easily and I’m amazed at how freaking fast it is. Might be a nice experiment next :)

This is hard af to prove. Even if it is “nobody visited him” it can be that he was told a couple of days earlier that if he didn’t do it, there would be consequences.

Excellent point if searchcord used the api. They created unmarked bot accounts that save all the messages.

It also includes deleted messages. And they refuse to delete things when someone opts out.

They literally just split off of Fandom. There has been no time to do anything about this.

GB is personality driven, when Alex, Vinny and Brad left, it already felt like a shift to the end. When Gerstmann was let go, GB really seemed doomed.
Fandom dictating what they can and cannot do when the site relies on their personalities and free form content just shows they don’t want the brand or people.
I really love Nextlander. I like fire escape. I miss Gerstmann, but I don’t want to listen to a solo podcast.
I hope the gang can aquire the brand. Fuck…

Intellisense in visual studio has also been really good for over a decade. Which is technically also written by software and not me.

Oh and don’t forget making certain content only available in certain regions (star trek for example).
I’ve finally setup Netbird instead of Tailscale to VPN to my network. Took some time since I wanted it to work with pocket-id and had some issues configuring everything properly. Runs like a charm now.
