“of the sudden” (1570) actually predates “of a sudden” (Shakespeare) according to my OED as squinted at through the nifty magnifying glass. But it’s been considered obsolete for a long time despite having all of a sudden experienced a resurgence.

And of course it doesn’t matter in this casual context!
But in formal writing, in this era, using “a” will avoid distracting the reader from your main point.

But that sounds correctable… So not having any people assigned to checking on railroads and making sure the system recognizes them as railroads would be due to miserliness on the part of Tesla then… And might also say something about why some Teslas have been known to drive into bodies of water (or children, but that’s probably a different instance of miserliness)
I’m pretty sure Tesla self-drive does a lot of stupid things you never would, too. That’s why they want you at the wheel, paying attention and ready to correct it in an instant! (Which defeats the whole benefit of self-drive mode imho, but whatever)
The fact that they can avoid all responsibilities and blame you for their errors is of course the other reason.

I’m not sure about other countries but one thing Amtrak has over planes is that they’re more disability accessible. Still making improvements on legacy equipment but they’re under the ADA, whereas airlines lobbied themselves out of it, which is why they never bothered to create wheelchair spaces or accessible bathrooms or even seats a normal human can occupy comfortably.

And on a lesser scale it was a common experience in women’s dorms for a woman who got a boyfriend would go on bc, which would make her into such a mess (Mood swings, anxiety, depression and don’t forget weight gain and acne!) that the relationship would fall apart.
They always say, “it’s better than childbirth,” and it is, but does that have to be the bar? We don’t judge anything for men with “well, it’s better than childbirth.” We try to find ways to make it as painless as possible.

My husband is quadriplegic, has been our whole marriage, so travel has been very difficult, and as we’ve gotten older (that toddler’s 30 now) it’s pretty much impossible. I agree with your point though, too many people put off traveling for retirement and then realize they’re not able to enjoy it.
Well I will agree with you in principle, and stick to showers at home. The most enjoyable bath of my life was when I was about 8 months pregnant and we took a weekend at a very swanky hotel, our room had such a big closet our toddler set up the foldout bed in it as her own room. The bathtub was enormous, the hot water constant, the suds delightful, and I floated blissfully free of gravity. And yes, being able to just drain and rinse and refill so the toddler could swim in it, and know someone else would clean it for pay was a big part of the enjoyment.

Nothing wrong with “suddenly.” I probably should have used it in my previous comment. It’s just that sometimes you want to say “all of a sudden.” Especially at storytime. The extra time helps build the suspense. “Suddenly” is more sudden in that it just jumps in there. With “all of a sudden,” the subject isn’t ready but the listeners are.
