Are there any plans for enabling a global menu like Unity had or if writing an extension for one is possible? I miss it every day 😅.
It’s looking great though! I’m very hyped to try it

Please visit my farm in FarmVille!
It’s probably cocaine
It was sort of like this when I worked for Cisco, although they’d generally hire you officially after a little while. For me it only took around 6 months but for most of my coworkers it was around 3 years.
Yeah that’s me. I signed up for and used beehaw for a month before switching to my current lemmy.ca. My old account would definitely be counted the same way as someone who signed up, got bored and left
That does seem more like their kind of style
Fish’s autocomplete is enough for me. I do like having Copilot in my editor but I can’t really think of a reason I’d need it in my terminal. Most of my time in the terminal is just installing things, git or moving things around and I have all those commands down as muscle memory.
At that point, they were also open source which was super cool. I always wanted that profile badge you got for submitting a merged PR.
Reddit really went downhill fast after ~2015. I think Lemmy will get there eventually. I remember reddit being a lot smaller back then as well. It took a while to get to the point where niche communities could thrive and I do believe we’ll see that happen here as well (even if it takes a decade or so)
That makes it even worse then 😅. The whole thing seems kind of silly
Does it actually make sense to call it free nginx? It seems like that’d just cause confusion, especially if the projects diverge. Most of the time when this happens they choose a new name (like MariaDB vs MySQL)
That being said, I wish the project all the best. I use nginx both professionally and personally so I’ll be keeping an eye on this.
Demon Souls, Bloodborne and Last of Us (before it came to PC) for me. I use my PC connected to my TV 90% of the time but the monthly games with a PS subscription are pretty nice
Sun news in Canada is generally very right wing. I’m surprised they’re even acknowledging climate change here
Glad it’s working for you! :)
I’ve had issues occasionally but if you use old reddit it seems to always work. Like old.reddit.com/r/example.rss
I use an RSS reader but I’m just using it as a clunky reddit client for my city’s subreddit 😅
Any more recent Intel CPU with quicksync works well too. I have a $100 CAD i3 powering Jellyfin and it’s able to handle ~5 1080p streams going at a time without any issues.
I have a large amount of users on my Jellyfin instance including people who are more tech illiterate and nobody has had any issues. The setup of Jellyfin is probably more complicated than Plex (just guessing, I haven’t tried it) but besides that, the UI is very user friendly
DuckDNS is run by two guys who are funded by donations. I do agree with what you’re saying about free services but I’m more willing to trust DuckDNS in this case
I just want a small phone again. Wish they’d bring back the Minis
