I think it’s more to do with that if the collective workers vote to become a union or not, and succeeds in that vote, then the owner/company must recognize them as the union and engage in negotiations as such.
If the vote of the workers fails to choose to unionize…well usually that means the people who tried to organize it get fired because there’s no union

I mean, this is more about a local business being locked out from developing a new location in an area because that are has specific rules about what can be opened in that area (because Political Money) because for some reason only ships that sell sandwiches are allowed to open up in that region.

I just started diving into the space from a localized point yesterday. And I can say that there are definitely problems with garbage spewing, but some of these models are getting really really good at really specific things.
A biomedical model I saw seemed lauded for it’s consistency in pulling relevant data from medical notes for the sake of patient care instructions, important risk factors, fall risk level etc.
So although I agree they’re still giving well phrased garbage for big general cases (and GPT4 seems to be much more ‘savvy’), the specific use cases are getting much better and I’m stoked to see how that continues.
I agree in that it doesn’t need to be required, but I think you’re leaving money on the table and intentionally limiting who can experience the art you’re trying to share with the world.
You don’t HAVE to include more than the basic colorblind option and maybe some extra visual cues, but games that go farther and allow more people to enjoy their product are better products for it.
Souls games are great. I don’t want to ‘get gud’ so I haven’t bought one ever, and with no difficulty drop I probably never will. I don’t have time for that. It’s not a bad game because they don’t have features to make it more accessible to me, but it COULD be a better game if they did.

For some, but it’s just that it’s diminishing returns as you go up. 60 going to 120 is about as visually distinct as going 120 to 240, and then 240 to 480.
I have had a 120hz, 144hz, and 165hz monitors in my house, and although the 120-144 jump was pretty much undetectable to me, thr 120-160 was smoother but not like when I first moved to 120.
I’m colorblind though, so color accuracy doesn’t always do much for me until my wife points out people’s skin looking weird if I’ve switched to a color palette that’s easier to track for me.

My wife’s best friend has been banned a couple times and is waiting to appeal her tinder ban again.
Although often justifiable based on the ways these guys have acted/spoke to her, it’s usually because she’s super ruthless in her response. A guy got mad she wasn’t interested in just being a booth call after she said she’s there for dates too, said she was after a free meal (paying hadn’t come up yet, and she always pays for herself unless a guy insists) and so she tore into him. And she’s brutal. Another had ghosted her after rescheduling on the date twice and saying stuff came up and that he’s busy (days after the fact, no check in or nothing) and so she told him that’s some horse shit and that he’s a little bitch that needs to get his life in order if he’s gonna stand somebody up twice after begging for a second chance.
She definitely could be nicer sometimes, but from what I’ve read from her it’s no different than how I see a lot of dudes talk on there, I think those guys just got their feelings hurt more than standard tinder girls do.
People who pay for sex are not universally “not cool people” who can’t get it other ways. In my work with various at risk populations, from what I hear from sex workers, plenty of people pay for sex. Funny charismatic, rich, doesn’t matter, they’re just as likely to be Johns.

From the source you listed (because I have heard of the magazines but didn’t look much into it ag the time) the author posits that the two books that had pictures of children were a gift from a fan, and the second he includes an inscription from Jackson discussing the joy of youth he’s seeing in the images and that he’s sad he didn’t have that kind of childhood. Which, weird, but not damning to me.
But I couldn’t find a credible source for the “showing children pornography” portion you mentioned, do you have anything for that? My impression so far has been ‘weird dude, if I knew him I still probably wouldn’t let my kids sleep over but I wouldn’t let my kid sleep over ANY adult’s house, especially not a celebrity’.
