I still chuckle when I think about my buddy getting himself the new GTX 970 so his rig would be ready for the upcoming release of Star Citizen.

I hate to pull the “You Yanks still have it cheap” card, but I just did the math for my car, assuming 10,000 km (6k miles) annually and a generous 8 liters (29 mpg?) fuel consumption. At current gas prices (2€ per liter), that’s slightly under 800 Euros per year that the state collects at the pump (gas tax, CO2 surcharge, VAT adding up to at least half the price of gas). In addition, 135 € per year flat tax to have the car registered.
That said, the idea that you have to pay a penalty tax for driving a EV while the brodozers don’t is, well… idiotic.

No one asked for that console, that’s right.

Neither the first nor the second game caused me any issues with crashes. Are you sure there isn’t some underlying hardware problem or an unstable OC of some sort?

“I cannot imagine any reason Nvidia would be pursuing this beyond really needing every possible pipeline of every possible industry to be so overflowing with slop that they can keep investors convinced there will indeed be a need for more Nvidia products in the big slop centers being built with people’s retirement funds. This has nothing to do with games, it has nothing to do with game developers, and it has nothing to do with gamers.
That pretty much sums it up, I’d say.

How mich did she make to be able to pay for that much gas and wear’n’tear in the vehicle? If I had to drive that much, I probably wouldn’t be doing anything but repair my car whenever I’m not at work.

For me, it would be a great option if my B450 board goes belly up. I have 32 gig of DDR4 installed and would prefer to keep the system operational for a couple more years with the 5700X3D.
That said, I don’t quite see why they need to introduce new boards for AM4. Inexpensive B550 has been around for quite a while now.

The interview where he made those claims backfired so spectacularly for him, it’s worth a watch. I think I’m going to watch it again tonight.

The helicopter pilot was his nephew, Harry. I believe Andrew served in the Navy during the Falklands war.

I am very happy with my regular X One controllers, but maybe I should get an Elite one before they disappear.

So what you’re saying is if we refuse to pay for journalism long enough, the journalists will eventually give up and just work for free? Not have to travel for their investigations, eat nothing and need no private home?

I wish SR 2 was available as a technically okay version. I have the GOG edition, but that suffers from the horrendous music quality and I believe frame rate issues. I seem to remember that it’s one of those games where they tied physics to hardware clock speeds and it would never run right if you couldn’t play it on the PS 3 or X 360. I will have to look into that because I would love to enjoy all those fantastic cutscenes once again.

Yeah, that’s why I decided to purchase it now. Get the old one while it’s still available and see what the new one is like.

Thanks for checking, I appreciate that. Of course opening a hot spot with my phone won’t be a problem, but a bit annoying if it’s just for playing an old game.

I read about the upcoming new version and pulled the trigger because Steam had the game for 5 €. The idea was that I might get a Steam Deck some time this year so I can play games on my commute. Will I not be able to play the game unless I open a hot spot on my phone?

Watch Dogs 2 is a weird one. I absolutely understand all the criticism and see the flaws, but I still play it and the breaks between two runs only get shorter. I love its rendition of SF and the Bay Area, the game has that je-ne-sais-quoi that draws me towards it.
Watch Dogs Legion though? Oh my goodness…

I don’t care much about the Danes either.
Whenever I was reading threads on Reddit (usually when there was yet another free weekend that was supposed to lure outsiders like myself to blow their cash on SC), there were those fanboys who would write stuff like “No no, they’re right on track and the game is already more than we were hoping for. You haters just don’t get it”.
I always used to wonder whether they actually believed that, when the game was at least five years overdue already and Chris Roberts just kept milking those poor suckers.
