This is a big part of why I don’t nap anymore.

I was napping on the couch one time and I started having this lucid dream about meeting up with someone… idk it’s kinda fuzzy now, it’s been a long time. Anyway it was one of those super emotionally charged dreams, even tho I’m pretty sure I didn’t actually know the person.

So I started trying to wake myself up. What was happening is that I was waking up… only to find I was still asleep and get returned to that same scene. Dozens upon dozens of times. I could feel my actual body uncomfortably on the couch, unable to move, but my mind was stuck in this reoccurring dreamscape… I’d do things like intense exercise to check my pulse, breathe in water to see if I drowned, check clocks and text for consistency… anything to confirm I was still sleeping so I could try to wake up once more.

It gave me weird feelings for a while after, not just about sleep, but it made me feel weirdly about being awake. Being stuck like that, knowing I was asleep and not able to do anything about it… I still lucid dream sometimes, but I haven’t practiced in a while, and never naps.

There’s a lan/vr arcade near me, has like 40 super high end gaming rigs… they only get busy when there’s a big event like a non-local tournament or something. We also have multiple pinball/arcade bars, and most of them also have some retro consoles set up. One of the 4-man arcade machines at one of the places even has something like a retropi installed in it and you can pick between hundreds of games up to GameCube era, but nobody really ever plays those either. (The pinball is the draw).

Can’t see this doing a lot better, at least not in places with options.

I have a greenworks push mower and I can clearly hear the birds while I’m mowing.

It’s not the most powerful thing, but it does the job really quietly.

Hilariously wrong on every count, because Jerry’s last name in Rick and Morty is Smith.

There are two well known people named Jerry Dunn, but ones a basketball player and the others a runner.

Also I wouldn’t say Jerry is obsessed with or otherwise has unhealthy relationships with couches, the wine spill is incidental to his spiraling.

I said the exact same thing months ago when I saw that video. I don’t even use a toaster.

I believe an ai could write soap-opera-style drama and crappy hallmark romance. Probably has been for a while. Anyone can write those things even if they don’t have a good grasp of language.

But comedy is really difficult; you have to actually understand people, and culture, and communication, and language, and timing, and shock, and a bunch of other super nuanced shit.

If he thinks ai is ready for that, he’s ready to lose his own job to ai, cuz what a joker… (see? Comedy is hard!)

Does that one at least tell you what’s missing? Like the first Harry Potter I had to look up the red sparkles, to find out that you need a specific character type to use that. The second game had that as a tip when you got close so it’s at least clear about what you need.

The marvel version I have is ps3, is that what you are playing?

Probably because if we admit that it’s a necessity of the modern age like power and water, it would basically need to be metered like a utility, and there goes all the profits with flat rate “up to” speed pricing that most people don’t even remotely use.

I just finished the Lego Harry Potter games… kinda old, but with the next horizon game being a Lego game I figured I should give them a fair shake. I love horizon, and I want to like the next incarnation.

TBH I’m not really a fan of the Lego games. They are ok, but I don’t really like the format of rush to the end to unlock what you need to then go back through and collect all the things you can’t collect the first go around.

Next on the list is the Lego movie games, there’s actual dialogue and some of the mechanics seem like what they would use for aloy… so probably a good next step.

I’ve also got marvel, city undercover, worlds, and some real old Star Wars Wii games. The Harry Potter ones are the first I’ve managed to finish.
