I had a friend whose mom was prescribed Ambien. I think it was the first time I’d ever heard of it. She said she kept having experiences like waking up in bed with empty bags of flour and jars of mayonnaise, so she stopped taking it.
Also zeppo@lemmy.world. Not a lot of Zeppos out here.

What number of those people are of military age, though, fit, able, willing to upend their lives and would support whatever cause? A lot less than 330 million, I’d guess.
That’s a US-only extension mainly used by Facebook and Twitter members.
Also /lib is where some people keep discarded capitalists
That’s what I thought too. This is directory structure, not file systems.
/home is often on a separate volume. You’d want root to be available in a maintenance situation where /home may not be mounted.
I don’t recall the reasons for the addition but /media is newer than /mnt.
Or just leave it in, easy fix.
I tried more fiber when I had undiagnosed celiac disease and yeah, it isn’t a fix.
Let’s see… do adults eat sour cream, yogurt or Alfredo?
Seems a bit dramatic. Could be as simple as lactose intolerance, or IBS, or something like Celiac disease.
if you get to just control one person’s mind, I guess. I’m good enough at my own. I was interpreting it as controlling anyone’s mind, as in a bunch of people at a time. You could just tell them you’re invisible, for one.
Mind control would obviously be the most useful.

Ah, they guy who tried to get Paypal to switch to running on Windows strikes again.
It doesn’t transmit the data; it supposedly stores it locally. The issue is it’s a huge convenient plaintext trove of information if the system is compromised.

Who knows? You could analyze the email to see if the links are legit. The URL suggested appears to be; don’'t follow it by clicking it though.
It’s very simple to have multiple desktop environments installed. You can select which one to use from the login screen, or launch X from a console and then start the DE from the command line.
It would be no problem to remove the office software you’re not using. I doubt that’s connected to any other packages through dependencies.
It does seem pretty wild how widely it’s prescribed given anecdotes like that. I also a knew a guy who had been taking it for over 10 years and clearly was wildly addicted.
