I’d add a dead man switch thing that, if the laptop doesn’t get the key in X days, it erases the safe partition anyway. Of course the company would want all that data backed up in their servers all the time.

• sed requires { to be escaped (in ERE mode) even if it isn’t part of a valid quantifier syntax, whereas grep and awk don’t require escaping. For example, you’d need \{a} in sed whereas {a} is enough for the other two.
• In BRE mode, grep and sed don’t require ^ and $ to be escaped if they are used away from their customary positions.

Since we’re open sourcing your comment (🇨🇳 our comment, comrade), may I suggest you split the list? A lot of the services are things that can run on an SBC but OP already has extra computing power on a mini PC, so are likely better hosted there. A subset of them offer clear benefits being hosted in a small appliance.

Edit: to be clear, I’m thinking OP wouldn’t consider items 7-13 a strong enough case to spin a separate machine.
