Rules for thee, not for me!
This is a response to a SOCIAL problem, not a technical one.

First thing is decide what data you have that can be readily replaced. e.g. publicly available Linux ISOs. Then remove that from your backup strategy. You may end up with a lot less data needing backup.

What’s the entire purpose of CSS according to you?

It’s not as though unionization was a surprise for Ubisoft. They probably had plenty of time to prepare.

Pornhub has not worked with Mixpanel since 2021, which means that the stolen data would be from that year or earlier. Reuters, who contacted some Pornhub customers to confirm the breach, was able to authenticate that the user data that pertained to those customers was accurate – but was several years old which would be consistent with the Mixpanel data.
We checked our accounts and this is what we found…

You’re going to tell me that there’s no corporation out there that won’t pay to improve their model with fresh data and not ask questions about where that data came from?

The idea is that to generate csam there was harm done to get the training data. This is why it’s bad.

Calling it an invasion of privacy is a stretch the way that copyright infringement is called theft.
I am very disappointed that this game promotes smoking. So it’s an instant non-starter for me.

I think the penultimate photo looks better than the final one that has the luminance and stuff balanced, but maybe that’s just me.

It’s on record that Gabe is very aware of Microsoft’s desktop dominance and ability to fuck up his gaming business. Valve’s push to Linux is strategic de-risking.

Simply not true. There is no person out there deciding every fry is too small. They just pick an exploit and send some bots after it. Every target is a good target because every target is a platform for more. It’s currency. The discrimination happens at the userbase level which is why jellyfin will always be safe. Kidding 😂

Symphonium is awesome. Still looking for a nice desktop alternative to Plexamp, which I can’t stand for its interface on desktop.
Holy shit, just give me shareable calendars!

I’m getting the feeling that most people wouldn’t hate AI so much if it wasn’t: 1. Built of the labor of let’s without fair compensation, and 2. Wasn’t a privacy nightmare. I think people would be okay with it even in spite of the energy usage because that’s something that can be optimized over time. But these other points are systemic societal issues that the current approach to AI entrenches.
In before it’s confirmed to be a DNS issue.
