I mean, yeah. That isn’t necessarily the point here, though. There’s a lot of frustration surrounding the need for private trackers and we could maybe solve that here.

maybe we make a usenet group as well?
I believe that this, particularly, is why many fast food restaurants are closing way earlier than they did several years ago. No, it isn’t because of the pandemic. It’s because someone (Gen Z) finally got fed up with the bullshit of managers dictating when they can work as opposed to a fixed schedule. No, no one should ever have to bear the burden of “picking up a shift” - that’s just shitty management and has been for around 60 years. We’ve all just bowed our heads and accepted that we need a job. Gen Z said, collectively, “Wait, what?” and the world will be better for it. Under no circumstance should someone ever be forced to work 2nd shift one day and early mornings the next.
I have my doubts about this being easy, since the other necessary function of headlights is being seen.
I mean sure, that would be great, but I don’t have that.
I had to look it up myself.
Textured or texturized vegetable protein (TVP), also known as textured soy protein (TSP), soy meat, or soya chunks, is a defatted soy flour product, a by-product of extracting soybean oil. It is often used as a meat analogue or meat extender. It is quick to cook, with a protein content comparable to some meats.
It is an issue for me because the only machine I have is my daily driver laptop, and I’d really rather not take up even that 35GB if it can be helped.
OK, this bot is very useful. Thanks to … whoever.
You are quite right in that it is not a cheap VMS. Since I don’t know 100% how to set thing up, though, the cost might be worth my time.
I may just pay for it and report back as a service to the community.
Ok, but I’ve only a remote idea of what you’re saying. Can you elaborate?
Thanks, I’ll look into this stuff.
I’ve been waiting for the free Oracle cloud to open up (I know that’s super rare). Is there a goof VPS you can recommend?
Yeah, that’s partially why I’d need info as to if this Lemmy host is legit. I have the domain (technically), and if the price jumps I’d be ok with that. I paid upfront for a couple years at $1/yr. Yeah, the registrar might screw me over, but at the price I’ve paid, there’s not a lot of risk. I really need feedback on the Lemmy host.
A more useful angle would be something like “This has a watermark and I don’t like that. Is there a version somewhere that doesn’t have one?”
I can’t think of a list, but outside of webcomics, I have never encountered a watermark in the media you have listed. Movies/videos would require someone actually sitting down with editing software, being somewhat competent, and time. Games? Nigh impossible.
I guess what I’m getting at is in order for people to be helpful here, you need to be more specific.
Jeep gets you there, but Toyota gets you home.
Yeah, I think that they do need a public and easily accessed place to present information, but I can’t for the life of me (per the article) see why engagement would matter much at all in that context.
Yes, that is the comment they made earlier and the reason they went on a down vote crusade.
AT Launcher for Minecraft has a native Linux package. I know that isn’t the particular launcher you asked for, but it works great.
