Not really. The alternative is raping someone, but charges are extremely unlikely, hardly many rapes are actually prosecuted.

No, they really are. No doubt they do plenty of stuff at the behest of the NSA, but they are also a deeply disfunctional company with conflicts between departments and bare minimum funding for security, since it’s seen as a cost centre
Ehhh that’s likely enough, but Microsoft is also just shit at fixing things
The health benefits of exercise likely outweigh the negative effects of COVID for most people, especially vaccinated
Building massive production capacity to replace all the cars just locks us in to having cars though
Idk (I’m not op) but I think when people say “can I install Linux on this” everyone knows they mean gnu/Linux. Yes, if I’m picking a container base image obviously alpine is also Linux, and if we’re talking about kernels then Android is too. But if we’re talking about desktop OSes then I think it’s close enough.
Tape is not great for things you actually want to access like media
Scamming is core to what it is to be human, other animals don’t scam, and when they do, insofar as they do, we say they are like us
But what about <incredibly contrived specific example involving song lyrics, guns to heads etc.>, can I say it then?
It’s a credit card/payment processor thing, i.e. ultimately it’s visa/mastercard, but it’s up to the bank to offer to individuals. It’s often available in other anglophone countries if your talk to your bank but I’m sure in some places they wouldn’t do that. But yeah, years ago is too long anyway.
I dont think that follows, people can have different needs for different products even if they think in the same way (but i agree with your overall point)
That’s not a source. By that metric every American AV has an NSA backdoor. And, ok, both of these are probably true tbh. But Kaspersky publishes extremely good security research and analysis which is just technical and totally possible to verify independently, so there’s no reason to avoid those, even if you don’t want to use their software.
Hahahaha, good one
Yes, it’s pure unfiltered bullshit. A time honoured way to get investment tbh
No that’s correct
no one says no profits should be had at all.
Actually quite a few of us do say that
I don’t think your argument quite holds up. The directionality is important. It’s true that the government can’t always know about technical things directly, but I think it’s fine for the government to be expected to know which experts they need to consult, and for that process not to just be open to everyone (which just means more open to those with more money).
Ahaha, I almost believed you that that was the real name of the town, but mer is feminine
