A résumé-generating event for sure.

The difference is OP probably got their device with Windows already installed and they only needed to go through the setup steps. Setting up the installation media really is the biggest barrier of entry to linux right now. A lot of distros are so easy to set up with a step-by-step gui installer, but a lot of non technical users don’t have the knowledge, skill, or motivation to download an iso and create a bootable drive.
I bet at least 90% of us use that theme. lol
Cool! I might join as this is another avenue to get my music out to more audiences, but I agree with the other comment, not discord please.
Amazing! I’ve been using SinkIt For Reddit for a while. It’s great to have an actual app again. Thank you for this!
My org has a follow-the-sun rule and avoids having people work on weekends. It helps that it’s a global team, so there’s only around maybe 18-20 hours in the middle of the weekend where it’s not a Monday or Friday somewhere in the world.
Circling back. It looks like they did something this week and the filter no longer works. Any chance you know of a new filter?
They scored big with the M-series macbook being a little thicker and having an hdmi port, and now they want to go back?
I was just gonna say, that’s a great name for a dj. lmao
It kinda depends where. GDPR in the EU is certainly an example of governments imposing their will on corporations. In the US, not so much, as corporations dump tons of money on lobbying that allow to them influence how they are regulated.
Grifter found a new avenue to grift.
The trick is to add stuff to the noodles (eggs, veggies, other toppings/add-ins) to distribute the spice out.
Yep this is the key. I add a topping of mozarella or quick melt cheese to help. You can also not use the entire packet of spice powder and save it for something else. But I’ve already developed a tolerance and can consume Buldak just fine. I’m actually more scared of the sodium content on those things.
This was the worst. I was happy to see a compact EV SUV I can actually afford, and I’m all for big screens; but to remove the instrument cluster/gauge and put THAT on the infotainment screen as well is so dumb.
Stegosaurus was my favorite dinosaur as a kid, then I learned they have very small brains in proportion to their size, so that put me off. lol
At a global chain, you can expect some sort of standard protocols that they try to at least be consistent with wherever you go. Not saying they are the cleanest, just that you can expect the same or at least similar quality wherever in the world you eat.
One argument I read about eating popular fastfood when traveling is that for people who might not have iron stomachs to eat unfamiliar food in foreign places, getting fastfood at mcdonalds for example allows a reasonable expectation of standard food quality and hygiene. That and since it’s familiar food, the risk of getting an upset stomach is lower.
Is there anything Sublinks will offer that’s different to Lemmy? Because if not, I’m afraid the issues OP is talking about would still exist either way.
For the lowest common denominator social media user, the bar is even lower. As long as everyone else they follow and care about is on the platform, they will happily move. They won’t even care that they will be free from ads and tracking because they never cared in the first place.
Lmao I wonder how he reacted to seeing this.
I love their transparency.
