I don’t even know the story behind this bitch right here. The damn thing is lived in, though.
Ima ask an uncle tomorrow. An old man passed recently round here. If they got his stick man, damn, respect.

And it’s not even what is being described as digital hording in that article from UCLA.
It’s straight up irresponsible to compare it to an actual hording mental disorder. Like, you must not have ever experienced that in any capacity to think that.
Although, surely digital horders have some cross over. But the prevalence of people not playing a game they bought on discount ain’t it fam.

slackassassin@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•Study finds smartphone bans in Dutch schools improved focusEnglish2·2 months agoYes, it does. A subjective response can absolutely be an objective result.
slackassassin@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•Study finds smartphone bans in Dutch schools improved focusEnglish3·2 months agoYou can conclude that teachers experience a better classroom environment. There was also 1/3 that did observe academic improvement.
E: Also, a teachers subjective experience is still an objective result if you are considering the qol aspect of the policy.
slackassassin@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•Study finds smartphone bans in Dutch schools improved focusEnglish4·2 months agoThat’s another type of study that is also worthwhile. But the effects of distracted students on teachers and the classroom as a whole is also relevant.

Hmmm, checks out. I guess the technology platform, YouTube, should get right on that too.

slackassassin@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•France is about to pass the worst surveillance law in the EU.English11·7 months agoNo. I’m not. I’ve never used that lock and I’m not required to.
Plus, the thieves in this case we’re arrested. The French government would not be. This is a terrible comparison, even more so as we move along.
slackassassin@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•France is about to pass the worst surveillance law in the EU.English11·7 months agoI don’t lock them to begin with. And I certainly wouldn’t purchase a tsa approved lock. Regardless, I was not subject to a law requiring that the non-tsa lock I was using to have a backdoor added. Which is why this is a bad comparison all around.
slackassassin@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•France is about to pass the worst surveillance law in the EU.English11·7 months agoYou don’t need a tsa approved lock to open an unlocked bag. Nor a bag that is locked in any other fashion. Which is why this is a contrived connection.
Hell ya. I keep weed in mine.
