I’m not sure what point you’re making.
I’m not sure what point you’re making.
I’d argue that it’s naive to think we can ever think non-individually as a species. Maybe I’ve just become cynical as I’ve aged and experienced though, not to say you haven’t also experienced - more that, if you have, your experiences have clearly been very different to my own.
Lol yeah.
Good luck spending time and money investing in something that you know will have zero legal protection as ‘yours’ after you go to market.
I personally feel that a copyright does give confidence to product developers to actually develop products. If they felt they weren’t going to get anything for their work they just wouldn’t bother and our tech advancement would stall significantly.
I reckon if he just turned it around and became a stand up guy, helping immigrants settle peacefully, becoming a role model for the world stage from a moral standpoint, he’d lose all those supporters.
It’d be amazing to watch that character arc too.
Just for people that haven’t searched it yet:
During setup of your new Copilot+ PC, and for each new user, you’re informed about Recall and given the option to manage your Recall and snapshots preferences. If selected, Recall settings will open where you can stop saving snapshots, add filters, or further customize your experience before continuing to use Windows 11. If you continue with the default selections, saving snapshots will be turned on.
It sounds like YOU need to TURN IT OFF
Jesus Christ. All these requirements for something most people didn’t ask for:
System requirements for Recall
Your PC needs the following minimum system requirements for Recall:
A Copilot+ PC
16 GB RAM
8 logical processors
256 GB storage capacity
To enable Recall, you’ll need at least 50 GB of storage space free
Saving screenshots automatically pauses once the device has less than 25 GB of storage space
Agreed. Chatgpt is a great starting place. Nobody should take what it says as fact, but use what it says to help you research further.
If he didn’t know the subject inside and out it could be dangerous
Could be, but not necessarily. It’s good to use as a starting point for further research. It’s good to introduce you to terminology used in the field you’re researching if you don’t know it already.
Knowing what to search for is very very valuable. This can speed up your understanding of a subject significantly.
As long as he fact checked what chatgpt told him, who cares?
Chatgpt is a great starting place for a subject you don’t yet understand, but it should always be fact checked before you apply it to whatever scenario you’re in.
Dude I think you need to get some meds for all that rage.
Maybe they have some on Amazon, I heard they have fantastic next day shipping as it’s such an urgently needed item!
I want to say fireflies by owl city but I wouldn’t have thought that’d be rock
If the atoms continue drifting, then that in itself is still change.
Iron man! Black Sabbath!
Eateries can adapt though, as they adapted to commuters.
It hasn’t always been the case that all eateries were only in major city centres. For a long time there were local cafes in small town/village centres that today just don’t exist because there hasn’t been anyone around in the day to eat at them.
I like the idea that we may see a return of more local cafes/restaurants (at least I see this being possible in my country), but I’m not sure how likely it is given the smaller turn over there’s likely to be.
When I worked in an office there were often food vans that drove to each car park offering lunches. If they improved the lunches they offered I could also see something similar to this in suburban areas.
The second job thing is interesting, it’s like he doesn’t understand that the economic situation of a society as a whole (generally a country) dictates what % of people can afford to have nice things.
As a result of that, if your society is in a bad economic situation it may very well be the case that even if everybody was working the same number of multiple jobs, advocating for themselves, and busting their butts, most of those people are still going to be in a shitty situation due to things entirely out of their control. Furthermore, the ones that got out of the shitty situation, even though they’re doing all of the same things, only did it due to dumb luck / being in the right place at the right time.
I had been considering a Roku stick instead of an Amazon fire stick to try and get out of the Amazon bubble.
I now see that Roku basically want to create their own bubble too so probably better to only let one shitty company (Amazon) get my viewing habits.
Is… Is that a sloth?
:O
Shit what’s happening on earth?!
I think his stepdaughter, with her boyfriend, dropped off his son for the son’s weekend visit with him (him being the commenter, the father).
It reads like his son was visiting his stepdaughter’s boyfriend. Maybe it is that, but it’d be odd.
