Can’t stand these trashy YT videos that use stupid distorted facial expressions on the thumbnail to get attention.
Some youtubers have done analysis on this. Unfortunately it has a huge impact on views. Arrows, circles, distorted faces, etc. All the clickbaity tropes, they don’t just work, they work disproportionately well, and they work on you even if you hate them and are aware of them. It can sometimes be up to double the viewership and thus revenue of a video during the first 72 hours. The impact is so hard that it has grown into a special skill on its own do craft these shitty promotional material.
Many channels use the clickbait titles and thumbnails during the first 48 hours, then switch to a more sane and on-brand title and thumb. Because if they did away with the clickbait altogether, they would lose all revenue soon after.
They don’t work on me cause I use de-arrow. Fuck all that noise
Unfortunately the online populace craves and engages with brainrot. We are the minority
The title really sells it as “video you should not watch under any circumstances”
Why do you hate them? It lets us know which videos not to click on, or even block. I see this as an absolute win.
Use DeArrow ;D
Legends ZA isn’t that expensive. It costs the equivalent of 69€ or $81 in the high VAT country I live in for the switch 2 version.
I assume they’re talking about the DLC as well. All together, the game + DLC over here is $140. I assume it’s closer to $120 for America, but haven’t done the conversions.
$100 before tax in the US
Wow our dollar is shit. Not certain where the $120+ is coming from, then. But it is clickbait, so I suppose that’s the point.
$20 for online for Ranked Battles. The reward for them are Mega Evolve Pokemon. If you want them you need online and that’s $20.
Is that really fair to add? Nobody did it for PSN or xbox live. Also who is to say this is the only game you want online for? Then there’s family pricing which is often split amongst members.
$100 is already a lot for a game. No need to inflate the figure.
Is that really fair to add?
Yes. We are talking about Pokemon. You know “You gotta catch em all!!” series. You need online to do that.
Then you should be consistent and count the cost of PSN and XBL the same way.
I think these online subscriptions are proving to be a major factor in why there’s been a migration of audiences from consoles to PC. People are seemingly running the long-term calculus in their heads and realizing PC is cheaper at a certain threshold.
Isn’t that a DLC ? Bonus content for a bonus price.
Who doesn’t love day one Should-Have-Been-In-The-Base-Game DLC?
Complete game, bonus money
I mean, we just saw two pikachu forms, nothing about what is in the dlc
